Take control of your Asthma/COPD
People who use a spacer with their MDI have better control.4
Using a spacer with your puffer helps ensure you receive the full benefit from your inhaler medicine so you can breathe better. Guidelines recommend spacers for people of all ages to help ensure you receive the full benefit from your inhaler medicine.1,2
Did you know that up to 80% of people have incorrect inhaler technique and the majority of people do not realize they have a problem1?
Use of a spacer is a simple and effective way to help improve the use of your inhaler. Spacers help to ensure that your medicine reaches your lungs where it’s needed. Spacers are designed to hold the aerosol puff, allowing you more time to inhale your medicine.
Even a short half second delay between pressing the inhaler has been shown to reduce the dose to approximately 1% of the intended dose if using the inhaler without a valved spacer.3
They also filter out the larger aerosol particles that would otherwise deposit in the back of your throat, potentially leading to side effects such as hoarseness, sore throat, or even thrush.
